The next morning, we were off to explore a bit of the old homeland. This is the Kreismuseum in Heinsberg. Heinsberg is the Kreisstadt (sort of the county seat of the whole area). This museum had all sorts of displays of the ways people used to live in the area. Unfortunately, they did not want photos taken in the museum, for reasons I did not fully understand. Josef got special permission, but I didn't feel comfortable if they really didn't want photos taken. Oh well.
